As a frequent business traveler, I am probably in a similar style-of-life situation as most of you. I would venture to guess that very few reading this go without the basic items TFT works to collect and distribute. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have much more than the "basics" available to us on a day-to-day basis tend to take for granted their meaning and the impact that these items can have to someone who goes without. If any of you have had the opportunity to volunteer time working at a shelter or pantry, you will have seen what I have seen- access to these basic essentials can give an individual the ability to greatly increase their feeling of self esteem. None of us can solve all of the problems that face our society, but each of us can find those areas where we can contribute to the solution. TFT provides a way for many to make a positive impact. We sincerely hope that each of you will consider collecting toiletry items in your travels and bring them home to distribute, either directly to local shelters and pantries, or through TFT, to those in need.
